Just because I say “Always look your best,” that doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun with your look or your accessories. This week’s favorite is a prime example of this concept: My Superman braces. (Or, “suspenders,” if you prefer.)
I found these over ten years ago, in a Warner Bros. store in Maryland. I have been a comic book fan since I was young. Finding a set of braces – with Superman – was a stroke of good fortune. I originally picked them up for sheer novelty, but over the years, they have come to introduce a favored bit lightness and fun in my business – and occasionally formal – wardrobe.
These days, braces are unfortunately thought of as stuffy or old-fashioned. That’s not true, besides there’s nothing that says that they have to be… or that they can’t add some pizzaz to your outfit. I find this set to be fun to wear. And, they have garnered more than “a few” comments and compliments.
