I should probably post a look today’s outfit while it’s still “today.”
This morning, I had an idea of what I wanted to wear, but I wasn’t sure on the details. I knew that it would be a dress shirt and slacks, but I wasn’t completely sold on the idea of a sweater… let alone, which sweater I wanted to put into the rotation.
Inspiration struck a few minutes later. This is what I came up with:
And a closer look…
Breaking down this outfit:
- Vest: Permit Platinum – I’ve owned this vest for… let’s conservatively say “ten years.” It’s not something that I wear often, though it does see occasional wear under a suit jacket. And, once in a while, it gets to be the standout feature.
- Shirt: Geoffrey Beene white spread-collar shirt with French cuffs.
- Tie: Geoffrey Beene black/grey/purple paisley
- Cufflinks: Custom-made from LEGO tiles. I had originally purchased them as groomsmen’s gifts for my wedding. They add a bit of flair and fun to the outfit.
- Slacks: Van Heusen grey herringbone trousers.
